IMAGES
This section shows both illustrative and painterly styles of execution. I work in all mediums and apply the best to reach the desired result. Below is a random selection of hand-generated works of art. Use this link or the pull-down menu to access the Digital Studio for pixel pushing imaging, image edition and composite image editing. >>>
TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATION
Early career technical illustration training to government specifications was utilized in the fields of nuclear weapons, energy (Lawrence Livermore Labs), the space program (NASA/Ames Research Center) along with various other the Silicon Valley giants. These highly technical drawing skills have surfaced in my paintings in a variety of ways. Due to the proprietary nature of these illustrations/projects and clearances required to work with those clients, samples may or may not be available upon request.

PAINTINGS IN SERIES
The separate series are in various development stages.
INDULGENCES
Stands in 2012 at 5 in the series. These are under the "Indulgencies" section. This series had a specific model in mind when it was in concept. Ultimately, the preliminary shots with a stand-in, non-model, had a more appeal and natural flavor in the final analysis so I worked from them instead. Again, this series has helped megain better control of the looser brushwork.
VICTORIA’S SECRET ANGELS
These four angels emerge from the canvas both to enchant and seduce the viewer. Designed so each panel is interactive, there are two vertical and two horizontal images to the suite. These can be hung in a variety combinations, groupings of four or in pairs. Nothing will happen with these originals until Victoria’s Secret parent corp, has time ti weigh in, as the faces are based of some of their signature print and product models.
STORYBOOKS EMPOWERED
The response to the stylized “Alice” has ignited a desire to carry this at least to a total of four. Little Red is next! People seem to enjoy seeing this character as a young woman, empowered with emerging self-assurance. This approach to the subject forces me to have to rewrite the stories in my head,so as to fit the new imagery. That in itself is an interesting exercise in meandering streams of consciousness.
DREAMSCAPES
This series of nude studies will be ongoing (at 7 or 8 so far) and have become an exercise in loosing up my hand and brushwork. Years of technical training can be hard to shake off, Eventually, a nice rhythm emerged when there wasn’t the desire for the tight detail work I usually do, For me they are more expressive and relaxed, so I enjoy them in the studio.
LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS
When I joined the Portrait Society of America, I did not consider myself a "portrait Painter". I joined to find a social circle of more serious classical realist painters. As my new comrades eyed and scrutinized my life's work, the comment that sticks with me today is "you do such beauiful portraits, with an interesting surrealist bent." I have come to call them "Lifestyle Portrait". Capturing people in the moments of their lives.
UNDULATIONS - THE JELLYFISH SERIES
Invited to exhibit in Florida at a selct gallery show called "The Big Fish", featuring the world renoun Guy HArvey, Randahl Scott, know for his underwater WW@ plane wreck, and Dan Mackin, ultimate interpreter of the tropical lifestyle... I found myself the only woman, having recently been noted for mermaids and ,ermen, a few dolphins and whales, and now I was swimming with the big fish painters... Oh my! What to do. Such amazing company. I went back in my childhood, me deep sea adventures as a Pisces child creative, and arched back to the Monterey Bay Aquarium... The Jellyfish. THey had always captivated me. So I radically broke from my figurative work and dove deeply into the research of Jellyfish.
ZEIGFELD FOLLIES INSPIRED
I am young enough to have not been alive during this era, but old enough to hae close family that was! I had a "Rosie the Riviter" in the family, a Miss Alice Fuller, who also danced in NYC at the same time my mother had some celebrity as the first female news broadcaster for Press Wireless during WWII, broadcasting from atop Radio City Music Hall. These two women had bith the fashion and media savvy any web blogger of modern times. While Alive is alive and well, Jeanne Fuller passed, but not without leaving their mark on feminist history. It is with deep appreciation I endeavor this recent series... I intend it to last a lifetime. It resonates with my soul.
“THE DANCERS”
From fan dancers to ballerinas backstage, a new series of somewhat impressionistic smaller canvasses was inspired when I participated in a fund-raiser for a dance troupe in Florida.
